In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDxCelje is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalk videos and live speakers combine to spark deep discussions and connections in a group.
As a co-organizer of TEDxCelje, my role was to prepare all the speakers for their speeches on stage (Chief-Listening-Officer). I was also a main facilitator of the event, in charge of the interaction and good vibes between the speakers and the audience.
I really love working with speakers and their stories, helping them deliver the best version and make the biggest possible impact on the audience.
- People are amazing and everybody has a story to share.
- Everybody can improve their storytelling and presentation skills (at least that was the case with TEDxCelje).
- The best strategy for successfully performing in front of hundreds of people is to connect with the audience and invite them to play an active role in the event.
- It helps to prepare your one-liners in advance. It is much harder to improvise every single sentence. 🙂
